1. Booking and Services

• Scope of Services: Leap Learning provides educational tutoring services both online, via agreed video-conferencing platforms, and in person at my designated teaching space near Wymondham, Norfolk.
• Agreement: A binding agreement is formed between Leap Learning and the parent or guardian (or adult student) once a booking is confirmed and/or payment is received.

2. Workspace, Drop-Offs and Punctuality (In Person)

• Drop-Offs & Collections: All in-person tutoring takes place at my designated teaching space. Parents and guardians are responsible for dropping students off and collecting them promptly at the scheduled start and end times. I accept no responsibility for students outside their scheduled lesson times.
• Punctuality: Students are expected to arrive punctually. Sessions begin at the pre-agreed booked time, whether or not the student has arrived. If a student is late, the session still finishes at its scheduled end time so that later lessons and other families are not disrupted.

3. Fees and Payment Structure

• Advance Payment: All tutoring fees are payable strictly in advance, before any individual lesson or block of lessons commences.
• Payment Methods: Payments must be made by bank transfer or direct debit using the account details provided by Leap Learning.
• Suspension of Services: I reserve the right to suspend or cancel upcoming tutoring sessions if payment has not cleared prior to the start of a lesson block.

4. Absences and Cancellation Policy

• Student Absences: There are no refunds, make-up lessons or credits provided for student absences, missed sessions or late arrivals. This includes illness, school events, family holidays and personal scheduling conflicts.
• Tutor Cancellations: In the rare event that I have to cancel a session, you will be notified as soon as possible. Sessions cancelled by me are either credited to your account for future lessons or fully refunded, based on your preference.

I know that illness and school trips happen — the rule is firm precisely because a seat in a group of four or six is held for your child for the whole term and cannot be refilled at short notice. If something serious comes up, tell me and I will always be clear with you about where you stand.

5. Online Tutoring Requirements

• Environment: For online sessions, students should be in a quiet, distraction-free environment with a reliable internet connection and a working webcam and microphone.
• Platform Security: Links and access credentials for online sessions must not be shared with third parties.

6. Conduct and Safeguarding

• Behaviour: Leap Learning maintains a safe, respectful learning environment. I reserve the right to terminate a session immediately, without refund, if a student's behaviour is disruptive, disrespectful or unsafe.
• Safeguarding: All in-person sessions take place in a secure environment, and I hold an Enhanced DBS check with a children's barred-list check.

7. Limitation of Liability

While I work diligently to help every student reach their academic potential, I cannot guarantee specific exam grades, test scores or academic outcomes, as progress depends heavily on the student's individual effort and engagement.

8. Data Protection and Privacy

I collect and process personal data — including student information, parent contact details and financial records — in accordance with UK GDPR.
